Weddings - Steven Johnson

Firstly its great that you're checking out my wedding page. Thanks so much! I hope we get to work together soon.

Weddings are clearly one of the most important days of your life and also one of the most stressful, but choosing your photographer doesn't have to be. Many photographers will try and bamboozle you with multiple package options which results in you possibly paying more than what you would like to.

I keep this simple. My fee starts at £750 for a 12 hour day, I'll provide a memory stick with full res images and a selection of 6x4 prints of your 50 favourite photos. I include an engagement photo session in order to get you guys used to being in front of the camera and to get used to me.

What will happen during the engagement shoot?

We will meet up at a location agreed by both you guys and myself, if you have children, a pet or anything you want included in the photos then bring them along, it's no problem at all. The session will last between an hour to two hours and it will be focused on having a chilled, fun time and capturing the love you have for each other. I will normally set a time around sunset as it's the best time of the day for beautiful lighting, however if that doesn't fit then any other time is fine. After the shoot I will send you a link via my website to download them and you are free to do whatever you like with them.

What happens during the Wedding?

I will come and drink your coffee....and take photos! The I try to make the morning as relaxed as possible, if you are both getting ready near by I'll catch both of you, however if that can't be done, I'll stay with one in the morning and meet the other at the venue before the ceremony starts.

My main focus is on capturing those uninterrupted candid moments from the very start, I will not ruin the moment by interfering with the flow of the day. I'll float around capturing everything I see. I can also help out in any way (I've had to help groomsmen put a kilt on properly!)

During the ceremony I'll be as close as I can without interfering in any way and after walking down the aisle having tied the knot I'll let you mingle with guests for a while before starting the family formals.

The family formals won't take long, I'll not have you standing there for hours. After that I'll take you and the wedding party away for some cool photos. Again this won't take long and if time allows I'll take you back out during sunset for some photos.

From that point on I'm milling around capturing as much as possible, I will be there for your first dance and unless you want me there for longer, I'll leave you to enjoy the rest of your night!

What happens after the wedding?

Within a week I'll have a photo video created for you telling a story of the day, it'll also give you a first look at some of the photos.

Within two weeks I'll have the photos online in a gallery where only you guys can see and I'll ask you to select 50 of your favourites.

After that I'll arrange the printing of the photos and once their here I'll arrange a meet up and provide you with your USB presentation box.

How do we book you?

If you decide to take me on as your photographer then thank you! It means so much that you'd trust me with your day.

Once you are happy to move forward, we'll set up a meeting and put faces to the names and see how we get on with each other, I'll be there to answer any questions you may have and to go over what you are looking for from me.

Once we're all happy then I'll get my contract drawn up and send it to you for going through. (There's a lot of legal jargon throughout it and its a bit of a boring read so call at any time to discuss anything you're unsure about.)

Once you're happy with the contract, I ask for a £250 booking fee before getting the contract all signed and sealed. The fee, minus the £250, can then be paid anytime up to two weeks prior to the wedding.

I hope this all makes sense to you and keeps things simpler. If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact me at any time through the contact me section or via Facebook messenger.
